SUMMARY:Urban Journalism Workshop Begins
DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Urban Journalism Workshop begins today! \nSince 1986\, UJW teaches local high school students interested in pursuing careers in media\, the fundamentals of journalism through interactive lectures\, hands-on training and field trips.  Professional journalists and educators from The New York Times\, The Associated Press\, ESPN\, SiriusXM\, and more lead these students through mentorship during this eight-week program.  UJW begins today through late April 2025 \nThe program is free. Applications are closed. We encourage all DMV area-based students to apply by January 2026.
