On May 31, the Black and Missing Foundation will hold its “Hope Without Boundaries” 5K at the National Harbor in Fort Washington, Maryland.

The Washington Association of Black Journalists (WABJ) has been selected as our “Media Partner of the Year.” This award recognizes the WABJ’s dedication to amplifying the issue of missing persons of color, and specifically for your leadership in partnering with us to create and shape a media task force. The WABJ’s expertise has been invaluable in working to develop a comprehensive media guideline for news outlets, as well as an impact matrix to measure the effectiveness of these efforts.

The event will draw 800 to 1,000 participants, including families, BAMFI supporters, media, and law enforcement. It will be a day focused on education, advocacy, and support for victims and families. Please join us at the 5K!
