    Best Kids Journalism Panel Discussion

    WABJ has partnered with BEST Kids, Inc. to lead an "Intro to Journalism" discussion for young students.  The fundamentals of journalism, career advice and personal experiences will be shared by renowned journalists Jarrell Dillard of Bloomberg, Eva McKend of CNN, Raquel Martin of Nexstar, Nana-Sentuo Bonsu of FOX 5 and moderated by Ashleigh Demi of WABJ's Executive Board.

    Since 1986, Urban Journalism Workshop teaches local high school students interested in pursuing careers in media, the fundamentals of journalism through interactive lectures, hands-on training and field trips.  Professional journalists and educators from The New York Times, The Associated Press, ESPN, SiriusXM, and more lead these students through mentorship during this eight-week program.  UJW happens early March through late April 2025.
